(c) if not, the reasons therefor;

(d) if so, whether this practice has been stopped by Government of China; and

(e) if not, what steps have been taken by Government to resolve this issue?

ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS
(SHRI M. J. AKBAR)

(a) to (e) In recent months, no instances of visas on loose sheets or stapled visas being issued to residents of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir have been brought to the notice of Government. Government’s position that there should be no discrimination against visa applicants of Indian nationality on grounds of domicile and ethnicity has been clearly conveyed to the Chinese Government, including at the highest level.
