Our economies are complimentary. Our cooperation, can lead to faster growth of our economies.

We hope during its forthcoming Presidency, Romani will take lead for the negotiations to re-start on the early conclusion of India-EU-BTIA (India-European Union Broad-based Trade & Investment Agreement).

Easier facilitation of visa promotes people-to-people contact and business. Our governments should work towards facilitating easy mobility of professionals on both sides. I am glad that Romania has decided to open a Consulate in Chennai.

Terrorism is one of the foremost threats to international peace and security. We resolved to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It is a global challenge that requires a global response.

I will meet with business representatives from both countries at a Business Event which, I hope, will result in collaborations to diversify our trade basket and deepen the economic linkages between our countries.

I am happy to note the enthusiasm in the business community on two sides to engage with each other and build robust partnerships.
